True North
this vessel has sailed to many ports of call
many proved failing
vain in longing
it has spent few a leave at port
worthy for harbor
it sails on with wind in sail once more
the sea has tempests but they do pass
now we have set a course to next port
with much anticipation but not with
all along the going
we will arrive with fascination
good will
if it proves harbor
we are grateful
it does not, it will
be leave upon our way
we will be fruitful from the abiding
there are many vessels that toss
on tempests
cast to purgatorial shores
and call it fate
some cast indefinably
and believe it purpose
many proved failing
vain in longing
it has spent few a leave at port
worthy for harbor
it sails on with wind in sail once more
the sea has tempests but they do pass
now we have set a course to next port
with much anticipation but not with
all along the going
we will arrive with fascination
good will
if it proves harbor
we are grateful
it does not, it will
be leave upon our way
we will be fruitful from the abiding
there are many vessels that toss
on tempests
cast to purgatorial shores
and call it fate
some cast indefinably
and believe it purpose
there are few that sail
into it
keel slicing the
torrent
with charts to voyage
steeled for reef
and bar
some may still run
aground but are quickly
to sail
crew's mark upon true north
the journey edifying
for trial has virtue
spirits are not one
from vain wanderings
nor is it their birth
to be who we are
is why we go
for whence we came
we're also bound
into it
keel slicing the
torrent
with charts to voyage
steeled for reef
and bar
some may still run
aground but are quickly
to sail
crew's mark upon true north
the journey edifying
for trial has virtue
spirits are not one
from vain wanderings
nor is it their birth
to be who we are
is why we go
for whence we came
we're also bound
